Well, after two of the longest flights (for now any way I am sure that the two going home will be longer) we are here. We only had a couple of interesting things happen so far...
First when we were leaving PHX and the elderly guy next to "J" pulled out a cigar to put in his mouth (yes we were already on the plane), he chewed on it the entire flight! Then when we deplaned here in Athens and made it to the baggage, my bag was like the last one to finally come around. The couple that was waiting there with us found out that there luggage was actually still in JFK. So after a near panic attack I was really glad that my luggage was here with us.
It is crazy when you go somewhere outside of the US, the first thing that you remember is that English is not every ones first language. After we wandered the streets forever towing our baggage with us we finally found the National Archaeological Museum. We visited that for an hour or so...I think that we enjoyed the cafeteria most :-)
Now we are actually waiting to get onto the boat. There are so many here at the port that we haven't actually seen that one that we are to board yet, but they assured us that we are in the right place.
As a side note, they really like the color blue here...the chairs in the waiting area are blue both here and at the airport.

I hope you're having fun in Greece! On my second trip to England, my baggage actually didn't make it so I had to buy some more clothes and couldn't change my underwear for a day. Of course, my sister packed extras in her carry-on... Our tour guide told me that's how they do it in England...you don't have to take a shower everyday and wash your hair all the time...it gives you allergies. Is that how the Grecians feel?
